Diane G. Kindermann Henderson is a founding partner of Abbott & Kindermann, LLP. Ms. Kindermann represents private development, mining, agricultural and other land owner interests as well as public agency clients in matters concerning real estate, land use planning and zoning laws, Federal and State Endangered Species Acts, wetlands, water and mineral rights, water quality, CEQA, NEPA and hazardous waste matters, including CERCLA.  

Ms. Kindermann is an Executive Committee Chairperson on the Sacramento Regional Transit Authority, Friends of Light Rail Board. She is also on the Council of Counsel and Environment Committee for the Construction Materials Association of California.  L. Elizabeth Strahlstrom is a partner at Abbott & Kindermann, LLP. Her primary areas of practice include land use and zoning, CEQA, NEPA, environmental law and eminent domain. Ms. Strahlstrom also represents clients in land use litigation arising out of project approvals.

In over seventeen years of land use practice, Ms. Strahlstrom has represented a myriad of private and public clients throughout California, with an emphasis on CEQA compliance and strategic entitlement planning. She frequently is called upon to handle projects that will be challenged in court. Ms. Strahlstrom currently handles the entitlements and environmental review processes for a number of big box retail projects in the Central Valley, providing full management of the land use entitlement and CEQA review process. Ms. Strahlstrom also works with clients needing limited involvement by land use counsel, or a second opinion on an important land use project decision. In all cases, Ms. Strahlstrom focuses on advice aimed at moving the project forward, on schedule.

Ms. Strahlstrom is based in San Francisco’s East Bay Area, where she provides legal and other volunteer support to local child welfare and animal rescue organizations. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the State Bar of California, the State Bar Environmental Law section, and the California Building Industry Association. Ms. Strahlstrom is also participating in the firm’s land use training programs for local planning departments, public agency staff and decision-makers, and industry professionals.

Kate also has experience with water quality and environmental issues.  She sits on the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board and is the Chair of the Board, as well as the President of the Sacramento Valley Conservancy Board of Trustees.
